This coming Friday, May 22nd, I'll be talking with practicing obstetrician and mystery writer Darden North in a show we're calling "A Prescription for Thrills”
…a doctor whose writing you can read . . ." That's the headline on Darden North's website. He's a practicing obstetrician-gynecologist in Jackson, Mississippi, and uses his knowledge of medicine to provide background and detail for his medical thrillers, House Call, Points of Origin, and Fresh Frozen, his newest book featuring--what else?--an obstetrician, Dr. Knox Chamblee.

Set in the Deep South, Darden's books are filled with characters you love to love, and love to hate. In our conversation we'll explore ideas such as how to balance writing with a medical practice, how close to reality the medical thriller genre really is, and where babies come from. Well - maybe not that last one . . .
